I was trying to cook myself lunch today.. was excited cuz i bought minced meat.. wanted to make a dish my mom used to always make. Steamed meat with egg.
So i called my mom, asked her for instructions.. then i thought.. "well its pretty easy" and started to make it. The first mistake i did.. i forgot to defrost the meat. =_="
Nevermind. So i left it to defrost. And i started cutting vegetables, n then fried them with garlic.
Then.. i came bak to the meat... and it was still frozen.. so i thought.. Hmm.. mayb the microwave could help. So i threw it into the microwave n defrost it. And it came out.. half cooked, half raw. >_<
And it had a weird smell.
I thought.. nevermind, mayb its just me.. and i chopped them and mixed an egg into it and steamed it. "5 minutes will do" Mom told me. I thought.. ok.. since my plate's too big to fit the wok, so i'll juz use a bowl, and i think it'll take longer than 5 minutes. It looked like this. And I waited..
And waited..
10 minutes passed... and it's still raw.
And I waited..
30 minutes passed and IT"S STILL RAW!!!!
I then give up on steaming.. and i was sooo fed up, and so i dumped the meat into the pan and fried with the vege n rice.. 3 in one.. >_< and it tasted soo weird!!
After 2 hours in the kitchen... i ate half of the fried minced-meat-rice-and-vege , and threw away the rest. It was... Yuck.
My cooking skills... haihz...
